Karolina Placek

Hi, I'm Karolina, a frontend developer based in The Hague combining strong technical skills with a deep sense of form and aesthetics.

I've spent the last 6+ years building and shipping software for early stage startups. I do my best work on small, highly collaborative teams. I care about the details, and enjoy writing code by hand.

My professional journey started at a small software house where I built a diverse portfolio of client projects - including a job search application, a shipping container scraper, and a 3D modeling tool. That is where I first learned and fell in love with React.

Later, I took an opportunity to join an early-stage Polish-French startup with an ambitious goal of creating world-class knowledge platform for customer service. I had significant involvement in developing their core features.

Currently, I work at a Rotterdam-based startup building software that helps large companies measure their environmental impact.

I have a big love for climbing, sewing, and puzzles.
